A thorough knowledge of Building Metering and Monitoring best practice and demonstration of knowledge and methodologies outlined in CIBSE TM39 (2026):
  • Successful completion of the CIBSE Certification's "CIBSE TM39 (2026) test of understanding (TOU)".

 

How to Apply

  2. Complete the application form and submit your signed application, PII certificate, signed Code of Conduct, and any other supporting documentation to:
    epc@cibsecertification.org
  3. Once we receive your application, we will advise you of payment of the application fee.
  4. Once the application has been approved we will confirm the registration fee. (similar to WLCA Scheme, see Fees for details)

A test of understanding is an assessment of an individual's knowledge of CIBSE's guidance using a competency framework developed by CIBSE Certification supported by a team of Industry experts involved in developing the CIBSE Technical Memorandum.

 

Individuals undertaking the assessment are evaluated against 50 questions selected at random from the bank, and must achieve 80% to achieve a pass. 

In this case, it is a bank of approx. 50 questions covering all parts of CIBSE TM39 developed by the experts below to assess knowledge and understanding of the guide.
