What is a Section 63 Advisor?
Section 63 Advisors are qualified professionals authorised to produce Action Plans under the Assessment of Energy Performance of Non-Domestic Buildings (Scotland) Regulations 2016. These plans set out cost-effective recommendations for improving a building’s energy efficiency.
Certification enables you to support property owners in complying with legislation when buildings are:
- Over 1,000m²
- Non-domestic
- Not meeting minimum energy standards

Who Can Apply?
To become a certified Section 63 Advisor, you must:
- Already be certified as a Scotland Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA) with CIBSE Certification
