CIBSE Certification hosted a webinar on 28 July about the opportunities to improve the accuracy of energy prediction. It was presented by a team for IES.
The webinar covered the use of the most accurate input data as opposed to that assumed by the NCM and included likely outcomes, the importance of a connected approach to energy modelling from the outset, the advantages of detailed HVAC Modelling over a seasonal efficiency approach for operational energy appraisal, post-occupancy evaluation and continued review and improvement for newly developed buildings.
