May Newsletter

Welcome to the May edition of the CIBSE Certification newsletter.

Multiple lodgements checks reminder
We would like to remind our LCEAs that there is a rule in the SORs regarding multiple lodgements, covering the lodgement of more than 1 EPC, DEC or ACI assessment per building (or part of building) in a period of 3 calendar months. LCEAs are encouraged to review the requirement in the EASOB webpage here.

Please ensure that you avoid reissuing assessments for the same property unless there is a valid reason, for example, an error identified and corrected, and when you do, please ensure that you notify us by email at epc@cibsecertification.org.

Compliance
We will be approaching our renewals period in a few months and the best way to help you prepare for this is to make you aware of the ongoing compliance requirements.  You can download the relevant scheme description document(s) for the strand(s) that you are registered for here.

Examples of ongoing compliance are providing insurance updates, updating CPD records and maintaining competence.  For LCC Simulation/EPC registrants this includes providing up to date software certificates in the use of SBEM/DSM software by their software provider.
