Fluid Dynamics Achieves Embodied Carbon Verification

Fluid Dynamics has achieved Embodied Carbon Verification through CIBSE Certification, marking an important milestone in its commitment to transparency and robust embodied carbon reporting. The verification confirms that Fluid Dynamics’ product embodied carbon data has been independently verified in line with the CIBSE TM65 methodology, providing consultants and engineers with confidence that their embodied carbon data is credible, consistent and comparable.

Why Embodied Carbon Verification Matters

As the construction sector continues to focus on reducing whole-life carbon, the demand for reliable embodied carbon data is growing. However, the value of that data depends on the methodology used and the level of assurance behind it.

Independent verification helps to:

  • Provide confidence that reported embodied carbon values are accurate and robust

  • Supports fair comparison between products using the recognised CIBSE TM65 methodology

  • Enable better-informed, lower-carbon specification decisions

By choosing verification, manufacturers play a key role in raising standards across the MEP supply chain.

Supporting Better Specification Decisions

CIBSE TM65 offers a practical approach for assessing the embodied carbon of building services products, particularly where full Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) may not yet be available. Verification against CIBSE TM65 gives specifiers assurance that calculations have been completed correctly and are consistent.

Fluid Dynamics’ achievement demonstrates leadership in this area and a clear commitment to supporting the industry’s transition towards more transparent and accountable carbon reporting.

Growing the Register of Verified MEP Products

Fluid Dynamics now joins a growing register of manufacturers whose embodied carbon data has been independently verified through CIBSE Certification. This expanding ECV register of MEP data helps consultants and clients quickly identify products backed by verified data, supporting more confident and informed decision-making.

We congratulate the Fluid Dynamics team on this achievement and welcome their contribution to improving embodied carbon transparency across the MEP sector.
