Digital certificates and ID cards

Since 1 September 2022 we have been issuing digital certificates and ID cards - you will no longer receive certificates and ID cards in the post.

Once you have paid the renewal fee and we have checked that your registration(s) is fully compliant we will email you a link to access your digital certificate(s) and ID card. You will be able to view your certificate(s) and download a PDF copy. You will also be able to forward a link to your certificates to your employer and clients if needed as evidence of your live registrations.

Please note that the certificates are only valid with a valid registration so if you fall off the register for any reason your certificate(s) and ID card will not be available.

Further information will be provided to you when we email you the link.

SORs auditing update for Air Conditioning Inspection Reports

There have been a few significant changes in the auditing requirements in the SORs, especially in the evidence required to produce an AC Inspection report.

These changes will have an impact on ACI reports auditing. It is important that all AC Energy Assessors are familiar with these before lodging ACI reports in the future.

The most notable change is that it is now expected that assessors provide evidence that cover all “essential” information as described in Inspection of air conditioning systems (TM44) - Table 2.1 for Level 3 Inspections and Table 2.5 for Level 4 Inspections. If “essential” information is not covered in the evidence submission, we are required to consider this a major omission and fail the QA Audit.

This, and all the other changes, are covered in the SORs Level 2 document version 1.9.

PEPA Conference

The annual PEPA conference will be held at the Riverside Centre, Derby, on 29 November 2022.

This is the first face to face event in a couple of years, so it will be a great networking opportunity.
