Section 63 Advisor

The Assessment of Energy Performance of Non-domestic Buildings (Scotland) Regulations 2016 have created the role of Section 63 Advisor. 

A Section 63 Advisor can produce the EPC and associated Action Plan as required by the Regulations. CIBSE Certification have been approved by the Building Standards Division of the Scottish Government to operate a Section 63 Advisor Register.

There are 2 routes to registration:

  1. If you are already an LCEA Scotland EPC assessor download the Section 63 Advisor application pack.
  2. If you are not already an LCEA Scotland EPC assessor you need to join that register before applying to be a Section 63 Advisor. Details on applying to become an LCEA Scotland EPC Assessor can be found here
