You will then need to submit two completed EPCs for assessment before you can be accredited as an EA. This needs to include one for an existing building and one for a new building. It is envisaged that most candidates will submit an EPC which they have been commissioned to prepare but if no commissions have been received at the time of application. Candidates can provide a certificate of the business premises they occupy or can contact CIBSE Certification for sample cases.
All documentation can be sent electronically to CIBSE Certification by email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
Hard copy documents do not have to be mailed.
Note: If you want to produce Energy Performance Certificates you need to be qualified in producing asset ratings using the national calculation methodology. For this reason, Low Carbon Energy Assessors will be on the LCC Design register.
The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) has negotiated an agreement with CIBSE Certification, under which membership of CIAT will help you become accredited.
