How to become a CIBSE Energy Assessor

The process of becoming accredited depends on the type of accreditation you want:

  • Low Carbon Energy Assessor (Design) to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

NOTE: CIBSE operates accreditation based on the approval of prior experiential learning (APEL). This route is open to those with a minimum of two years substantial experience. If you do not have experience in a closely related field, you should consider taking an NVQ for which experience is not necessary.
